Campaign-level frequency control has a specific setup path with a few prerequisites. Here's how to actually turn it on.
Before you start
Confirm your campaign objective is Awareness or Engagement. Campaign-level frequency control isn't available for other objectives yet.
Make sure you're comfortable using Advantage+ campaign budget, since it's required to access this setting.
Step by step
Create a new campaign or open an existing one with an Awareness or Engagement objective.
Turn on Advantage+ campaign budget at the campaign level.
Look for the frequency control setting at the campaign level, now available alongside your budget settings.
Choose whether you want a Target frequency or a hard Cap.
Set your number of impressions and the time window, for example, 3 impressions per 7 days.
Build out your ad sets as usual inside the campaign. The frequency setting will apply across all of them automatically.
Launch, and monitor frequency and reach metrics at the campaign level to confirm it's behaving as expected.
After launch
Give it a few days of delivery before judging results, since Meta's system needs time to learn and apply the frequency setting across your combined ad set audiences. Compare your actual delivered frequency against your target or cap to confirm the setting is doing what you expect, especially the first time you use it.
