Does It Matter That Your Meta Ads Consultant Isn't in the Same Country?
I work with clients across the UK and EU. I'm not based there. In practice, this almost never comes up as a real concern — and I think that's because the work itself makes the answer obvious once you look at what the job actually involves.
What the work actually requires
Running a Meta ads account is a screen-based job, end to end — strategy, targeting, tracking, reporting, campaign management. None of it requires being in the same room, or even the same country. We're living in a genuinely virtual working world now, and this particular kind of work fits that reality about as cleanly as any job can.
The one place location could matter, and why it doesn't here
If I were the person shooting product photography or filming founder-led video content, location would be a real constraint. I'm not — that stays with the client or their team, exactly where local, hands-on work belongs. What I'm actually responsible for is strategy, structure, and communicating clearly about both. That's the part of the job that travels perfectly well, and it's the part I'd back myself on regardless of where I'm sitting.
What actually makes remote work well
Real working-hours overlap — not a token hour squeezed in, genuine overlap for most of the working day
Clear, direct communication as the actual skill being hired — weekly calls, regular written reports, and being straightforward about what's working and what isn't
A process that doesn't depend on being physically present — audits, strategy, tracking setup, and campaign management were never location-dependent tasks to begin with
The question isn't really where I am. It's whether the work is clear, well-communicated, and actually delivering — and that's true or false regardless of which country it's happening from.
