The Connectors I Use Every Day as a Freelance Meta Ads Consultant

People ask me a lot how I manage multiple client accounts as a solo consultant without burning out or dropping things. The honest answer? I've built a connected workflow using AI connectors that handles a lot of the mechanical overhead, so I can actually focus on the thinking — the strategy, the creative decisions, the things that move numbers.

Here's a breakdown of the actual connectors I use and what each one does for me day to day. This isn't aspirational — this is literally how I work right now.

Meta Ads Connector

This one is the most directly useful for my core work. The Meta Ads connector lets Claude access campaign data, ad sets, and performance metrics directly. When a client's campaigns go live — which is always the nerve-wracking bit — I don't have to manually check every metric in Meta Ads Manager and then try to explain what I'm seeing in a separate document. I can pull the data into a conversation and work with it contextually.

What I'm looking at most: CPL trends, frequency, hook rate on video ads, and whether campaigns are still in the learning phase. When the learning phase drags on longer than expected, that's usually a signal we need to revisit the audience size or the event optimisation. Having this data in context means I can spot those patterns faster.

Google Drive Connector

I keep an Experience Journal in Google Drive. It's a running log of observations, wins, things that went wrong, client-specific notes, audience insights. It's basically my second brain for the accounts I manage. The Google Drive connector means Claude can read from that journal before I write anything — whether that's a client strategy doc, a campaign brief, or a blog post like this one.

The practical impact: I never write anything generic, because the context is always there. Real numbers, real observations, real client situations. That's what makes the content and the strategy docs actually useful rather than fluffy.

Google Calendar Connector

Simpler than it sounds but genuinely useful. When I'm planning my week or thinking about when to schedule a campaign launch, Claude can see what's on my calendar. No more launching a campaign on the same day as a big client call where I won't have time to monitor it. Thinking right now about how many times I would have avoided unnecessary stress if I'd had this earlier.

Canva Connector

Ad creative is a constant need in Meta campaigns. The Canva connector means I can go from a creative brief to a Canva design without leaving the Claude conversation. For quick UGC-style static ads, social proof posts, or offer-led creatives, this cuts the turnaround time significantly. It's not replacing a designer for anything complex, but for fast iteration on performance ad formats it's legitimately great.

Wix Connector

This one runs my blog. Literally. I have a daily publishing routine where I feed from the Experience Journal, write a post with real practitioner content, and Claude pushes it to my Wix site via the blog API. The posts you're reading now are part of that system. It means I can publish consistently without it becoming a second job.

Ahrefs Connector

For SEO-adjacent work, the Ahrefs connector lets me check domain authority, keyword data, and backlink profiles without switching tools. When I'm planning content or evaluating whether a topic is worth going after with my current domain authority, this is the reality check that keeps me honest. My domain rating is currently at the low end, which means broad competitive keywords are out — I need long-tail, practitioner-specific topics. Ahrefs makes that assessment quick.

The Real Benefit Isn't Speed, It's Context

The thing I keep coming back to is that the value of connectors isn't just speed — it's context. An AI that can see my calendar, my client notes, my ad data, and my website all at once can help me make better decisions. It's like the difference between asking a question to someone who's never met you versus someone who's been in the room with you for months. The latter gives you a much better answer.

For a solo consultant, that context layer is genuinely powerful. It's not going to replace good judgement or platform expertise — but it removes the friction that used to eat hours every week.
