Hey. Since you asked — here's the full picture.

Hey. Since you asked — here's the full picture.

I'm Saurav. I run a one-person performance marketing consultancy called Saurav Does Marketing. I manage Meta and Google Ads for businesses, audit accounts that aren't performing, and help founders and marketing teams figure out why their paid ads aren't doing what they should.

This page exists because most of what I do is hard to explain in a WhatsApp message. So here's everything — who I am, how I think, what I've actually worked on, and what working with me looks like.

What I actually do — specifically.

Performance marketing is a broad term. Here's what it actually means in practice for me:

  • Run and manage Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) and Google Ads campaigns end to end

  • Audit existing ad accounts — find what's broken, what's being wasted, what's fixable

  • Build campaign structures that scale without falling apart at higher budgets

  • Fix lead generation campaigns that are attracting the wrong people

  • Help D2C brands and Shopify stores build paid acquisition that works

  • Work across India, the UK, and European markets

I work directly with clients — no account managers in between, no junior team running your campaigns while I'm on calls. If you hire me, you get me.

How I think about marketing.

Most ad accounts fail for boring, fixable reasons. Wrong campaign structure. No real conversion tracking. Audiences that made sense on paper but don't perform. Budgets that scaled before the fundamentals were right.

I audited 10 Google Ads accounts in the UK last month. Every single one had the same 6 problems — things like location settings nobody had checked, search terms that hadn't been reviewed in months, and conversion tracking that was counting the wrong events. These weren't failing businesses. They were just running blind.

I write about this stuff on my blog — real account breakdowns, honest takes on what works and what's overhyped, and the thinking behind every decision. It's the clearest picture of how I actually approach this work.

What I've worked on.

I don't do case studies with client logos and polished before/after numbers — most of my clients prefer to keep results private. But here's a real picture of the work:

  • Managed a €10,000/month Meta lead generation campaign — built the structure, ran the budget, improved CPL over 3 months

  • Audited over 10 Google Ads accounts for UK small businesses — found the same structural problems in every single one and wrote about it publicly

  • Built Meta campaigns for D2C brands at different stages — early-stage validation, scaling from ₹1L to ₹5L/month, and fixing accounts that had plateaued

  • Worked with lead generation businesses in real estate, education, and professional services across India and the UK

  • Helped founders who were running their own ads understand what was actually happening in their accounts

I also write public teardowns of real brands — how they market, what they're doing well, what I'd change. You can find those in the Case Studies section of the blog.

Who I work with.

I work with a small number of clients at a time — intentionally. I'd rather do fewer things properly than spread thin across 20 accounts.

  • Founders who are spending on ads but not sure if it's working — and want someone to be straight with them

  • Marketing managers who need an external pair of eyes on their campaigns

  • D2C and Shopify brands looking to build or fix their paid acquisition

  • Lead generation businesses that are getting volume but the wrong quality

  • Agencies that need a reliable performance marketer for client work

I'm not the right fit if you're looking for a full-service agency, a big team, or someone who'll just execute without pushing back. I'm opinionated about the work — that's the point.

What working with me looks like.

It starts with a conversation. I don't send proposals before I've understood what you're dealing with. I don't lock in a retainer before I've seen your account.

If it makes sense to work together, we figure out what that looks like — whether it's an audit, an ongoing management arrangement, or something in between. No packages off a shelf.

Most people who work with me say the most valuable thing isn't the campaigns I run — it's finally having someone who tells them the truth about what's happening in their marketing.

Curious if I can help?

If something here resonated — or if you just want to understand what's going on in your ad account — the easiest next step is a 30-minute call. Free. No agenda other than figuring out if there's something worth working on together.

Or just reply to the WhatsApp message that brought you here. Either works.

Some things I've written that might be useful.
