Your Support Tickets Are a Free Ad Brief: Finding the Holes in Your Funnel
Once you've mapped where your ads sit in the funnel, the next step is finding what's missing. The fastest way to find those gaps isn't in Ads Manager. It's in your support tickets, comments, and reviews.
The questions that keep repeating are missing journey steps
If the same objection or question shows up over and over in customer support, that's not a support problem. It's a messaging gap in your ad account. Somewhere between the first ad someone sees and the moment they buy, nobody is answering that question, so people are asking it manually, after the fact, or not converting at all.
Where to look
Warranty concerns: if people keep asking what happens if something breaks, that's a trust gap your creative should close before purchase, not after.
Sizing questions: repeated sizing or fit questions mean your funnel isn't giving people enough confidence to commit without asking.
Comparisons to competitors: if support keeps fielding "how is this different from X," your ads probably aren't making the case directly.
The rule of thumb
If it shows up in support, it needs an ad. Every recurring question is a signal that a piece of your customer journey is currently being carried by a human support agent instead of your funnel. Turning those questions into dedicated creative closes the gap and takes pressure off support at the same time.
Pull your last month of tickets, comments, and reviews, tag the recurring themes, and check each one against your current active ads. Anything with no matching ad is your next creative brief.
